At Persona, we're incredibly proud of our amazing team. We think they're smart, funny, and kind, and we're sure you'll think the same. That's why we started this blog series to help you get to know the people behind Persona.
Today, meet Poornima, a customer success manager who is passionate about our #pets Slack channel (her Maltese Poodle Bichon mix, Norman, is a star — see below!) and critiquing Architectural Digest home tours. She walks through a typical day at Persona, shares how she ended up at Persona, and more in this Q&A:
What does your typical day look like at Persona?
Even though I work from home in Vancouver, Canada, I typically start my day at 6:30 am so I can complete any pending tasks before the rest of the team on the West Coast joins online. My day mostly consists of conducting proactive customer work, looking at metrics, and tying up any loose ends regarding customer engagement efforts. For the rest of the day, I have internal team meetings and various customer meetings, and after those customer calls, I follow up on individual goals.
Why did you choose Persona?
Before I had heard of Persona, I had actually used the product through Remote’s platform. Then my friends, Matt Griffith and Kevin Wiens, started working here, and I became interested in the opportunity because I am a fan of companies with solid product-market fit and great user experiences. These were my initial factors when looking at job opportunities, and Persona excels in both.
Tell us one thing that people may not know about you.
I am very passionate about fitness; in fact, I am currently interested in building an app that can count how many steps you have taken and compare it to the amount needed to reach a certain destination. For example, if I wanted to walk to Paris, this app would tell me how many steps I would need to take to get there!
Who is someone you look up to or admire at Persona and why?
I really look up to Fu Han, our head of post-sales. He is a great person to work with, and he truly has an unparalleled work ethic. Fu Han is also an incredible mentor, a quality I value highly in people I work with.
What is your favorite Persona Slack channel and why?
I love the #pets channel — I am in there a lot! Everyone’s pets are my pets, and this channel allows me to keep track of how they’re all doing (not to mention it’s a great mood booster during the day). My other favorite channel is #build-a-nerd, which is a space where people share the stuff they are building. It’s always impressive to see what everyone has been creating outside of work.
Stay tuned as we continue featuring more Personerds in this ongoing series!
