State of the industry

Speakers: Rick Song (Persona) Identity is being reshaped by structural forces that every business now has to confront: deglobalization and shifting geopolitical alliances, increasingly fragmented regulations, rapid advances in AI, and a rise in localized, context-specific identity expectations. These shifts are redefining how individuals present themselves and how organizations must build trust. In this keynote, CEO Rick Song will share Persona’s outside-in view of these changes.

9:45-10:05 AM

The future of identity is connected

Speakers: Vincent Tsao (Persona), Ross Freiman-Mendel (Persona), Benjamin Chait (Persona) As identity risk evolves, the boundaries of IDV are being redrawn. In this session, we'll explore two shifts reshaping verification. First, how candidate fraud and access risk are reinforcing the importance of workforce verification at every stage of the employee life cycle, starting at hiring. Second, how collaborative KYC and privacy-preserving claims are reducing friction and enabling new, more flexible verification paradigms across systems.

10:05-10:20 AM

Beyond verification: how Roblox is reshaping privacy-first age assurance

Speakers: Nidhi Gupta (Roblox) Roblox’s engineering lead shares how the company approaches age assurance at a global scale using privacy-preserving, low-friction verification built around trusted claims rather than persistent data collection. Hear how Roblox evaluates age signals, applies clear principles for accuracy and usability, and incorporates newer, more nascent forms of verification to adapt as risk evolves.

Solving for complexity with simplicity: what's new across the Persona platform

Speakers: Koun Han (Persona), Lewis Chung (Persona), Bill Valeriote (Persona) Complex identity use cases — from KYB to transaction monitoring — demand workflows that are both highly specialized and operationally scalable. In this session, Persona’s product leadership will show how our platform resolves that tension by combining shared, reusable components with the flexibility to model and orchestrate domain-specific processes. See how customers are building AI-powered experiences across their identity life cycle and get a preview of the next set of platform capabilities designed to support even more complex use cases.

How Ticketmaster uses identity verification to prioritize fans

Speakers: Brennan Decker (Ticketmaster), Poornima Sethu (Persona) In conversation with Persona’s GTM lead for social media, Ticketmaster’s Group Product Leader shares how the company is rethinking identity and verification to create a fairer ticketing ecosystem. As bots and coordinated fraud networks grow more sophisticated, Ticketmaster is using identity signals and verification to ensure tickets reach real fans. Hear how the team balances fraud prevention with fan experience, experiments with verification before pre-sale events, and builds confidence among fans that everyone is playing by the same rules.

1:55-2:10 PM

Identity trends

Speakers: Charles Yeh (Persona), Irfan Faizullabhoy (Persona) The core of fraud mitigation is simple: verify evidence and authenticity. However, Agentic AI and vibe-coded scripts have spiked fraud attempts, increasing difficulty. Join Persona product leaders to explore two powerful mechanisms for reducing risk. First, Digital IDs, an increasingly adopted standard with built-in metadata perfect for blocking sophisticated fraud. Second, we’ll reveal new risk signals and show how these inputs refine our risk ensemble models for more accurate detection.

2:10-2:25 PM

Patreon, Substack, and the new rules of online trust & safety

Speakers: Chris Price (Patreon), Adam Inglis (Substack), Justin Lo (Persona) Patreon and Substack exist to give creators independence, but serving millions of them and their fans across every border means trust and safety is constantly being pressure-tested. Age assurance laws, AI-generated content, impersonation, and rising privacy demands all rewrite the rules. The good news? These platforms are rewriting them right back. Senior leaders from Patreon and Substack join Persona to get specific about how the trust and safety landscape has shifted and what they're actually building to keep up.

Building trust in your workforce with end to end KYE

Speakers: Benjamin Chait (Persona), Liam Dermody (Okta) Workforce identity verification is becoming a critical security layer as organizations face increasingly sophisticated threats across the employee life cycle. This session examines risks like candidate impersonation, credential fraud, and social engineering — and how verification is evolving beyond onboarding to address them. Learn how security and IT leaders integrate identity verification into IAM, HRIS, and ATS to support continuous assurance, balance compliance and privacy, and confirm worker identity when it matters most.

Too little, too much, or just enough: rethinking KYB data strategies

Speakers: Casper Rijnsdorp (Persona), Ridvan Heimuli (OpenAI) As KYB becomes a requirement across marketplaces, fintechs, and financial services, teams are grappling with a core challenge: too little data to make confident decisions, or too much data to act on effectively. This session explores how organizations are redefining business identity by choosing what to trust, when to enrich, and how to combine ownership data, online signals, and behavioral context. In the breakout, you’ll compare where data gaps or overload create risk and workshop practical approaches for handling sole proprietors, global entities, and incomplete records.

How to weigh age assurance methods with user experience in mind

Speakers: Justin Lo (Persona), Lauren Windmeyer (Persona), Vaishanivi J (Vys) Age assurance is becoming a critical priority as new regulations, notably those in the AU and UK, come into force. For companies, the challenge is implementing privacy-conscious age assurance that doesn’t alienate users. Listen to real stories of how companies stay on top of shifting regulations and overcome implementation hurdles while still keeping the user experience top of mind.

Building the next generation of KYC/AML programs

Speakers: Andrew DiMattina (Persona), Tory Peterson (Persona) Learn how leading teams are moving beyond point-in-time checks to build AML programs that use clearer data sources, smarter signals, and AI-driven workflows to reduce manual review and improve accuracy. As regulatory expectations rise around beneficial ownership, monitoring, and documentation, this session breaks down how to design AML, CDD, and EDD flows that adapt quickly while keeping compliance scalable.

Defining identity for agentic commerce

Speakers: Ross Freiman-Mendel (Persona), Drew Edmond (Glenbrook Partners) As AI agents reach new levels of sophistication and autonomy, identity is becoming the new trust layer underpinning every transaction. We examine why identity must play a role in defining the user experiences for new forms of payments and interactions in agentic commerce. Leave with a clear view of the shifts ahead and how to future-proof your identity strategy, and hear how peers are preparing their identity infrastructure for emerging payment models.

How risk signal collection, context, and patterns are reshaping fraud detection

Speakers: Cathy Chang (Persona), Irfan Faizullabhoy (Persona) Dig into the unseen layer of risk signals to learn how collection methods impact fidelity and how connections between signals can be just as important as the signals themselves. You’ll hear directly from fraud leaders who will share real examples of how they investigate anomalies, interpret new patterns, develop signals, and balance fraud prevention with user experience. Plus, you'lllearn about emerging fraud vectors and how to strengthen your strategy before these tactics become widespread.

The new balance: AI’s role in manual review and compliance

Speakers: Alex Yen (Persona), Jas Randhawa (StrategyBRIX) AI is reshaping how teams review identities, assess risk, and make compliance decisions, but it isn’t replacing human judgment. This session breaks down where AI meaningfully streamlines manual review and where human expertise remains essential for accuracy, nuance, and regulatory confidence. Hear real examples of what’s working, what’s not, and how to build a balanced approach that scales without compromising trust or quality.

Mapping the future of digital IDs

Speakers: Alex Mentzelopoulos (Persona), Daniel Tweed-Kent (LinkedIn) Digital identities are accelerating worldwide — from EU Digital Identity Wallets and mobile driver’s licenses to bank IDs and emerging private credential networks. Adoption is uneven. Timelines, standards, and assurance levels vary across markets. This session explores what that means for teams building global verification strategies — the trade-offs between friction, conversion, cost, and assurance, and what leaders from Persona and LinkedIn are learning as they integrate digital credentials into existing verification journeys.

4:35-4:55 PM

From guidance to action: how regulators expect companies to navigate new compliance demands

Speakers: Sigal Mandelker (Ribbit Capital), Rick Song (Persona) Teams need clarity, not just headlines. Sigal Mandelker and Rick Song discuss how North Korea-linked impersonation became a regulatory priority, what good-faith compliance requires, and how to interpret ambiguous guidance. They address the innovation standoff between banks, vendors, and regulators, then outline practical ways organizations of any size can propose new identity models and allocate resources effectively.

4:55-5:15 PM

The golden era of fraud: understanding fraud-as-a-service

Speakers: Ben Taylor (Pleasant Green) Fraud has industrialized. From individual opportunists to organized mule operations to fraud-as-a-service marketplaces, different types of fraudsters require tailored defenses. Drawing from real encounters, content creator Ben (Pleasant Green) shares three fraudster's stories and how they operated both historically and in the present day. He also covers strategies to identify and stop them before they scale. Ben's approach: run into fraudsters, get to know them, and don't ignore them.
