At Persona, we love our pets. We think they're smart, funny, and cute, and we're always looking for opportunities to show them off. For National Pet Day, we thought we'd take a break from our monthly Q&As with various Personerds and instead introduce you to some of the pets behind Persona — err... Pawsona.
Today, meet Squeaks, a 6 year old Maine Coon mix who was once featured in an Amazon newsletter. He shares his odd favorite snacks, the changes he'd make to Persona's online presence, and more in this Q&A:
Tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Squeaks, and I'm a 6 year old Maine Coon mix named for my very squeaky (but manly) meow! I adopted my hooman when I was a wee kitten and have ruled the house ever since. I spend most of the day napping, staring at my hooman hoping she'll give me treats, watching birds at my window, and getting belly rubs and cuddles. My claim to fame is I was once featured in an Amazon newsletter!
What is your favorite snack?
I really like these lickable purees that come in a tube. Hooman says they're basically like meat-flavored Go-Gurt, whatever that means. However, I also love spinach, which makes sense since I'm a California kitty. (Hooman once offered me both lettuce and chicken from her salad, and I chose the greens!)
What is your ideal day?
My ideal day would involve a dozen naps in the sun and hooman waiting on my every need: think on-demand snacks, belly rubs, cuddles, and play sessions.
If you were to work at Persona, what would you do?
Given I have waaaay more followers on Instagram than my hooman, I'd join marketing and take over Pawsona's social media presence. Right now, they post wayyy too much about KYC (which sadly doesn't stand for Know Your Cats). I know what people want to see, and that's cute pets. #hireSqueaks
How would you describe your owner?
She's very squishy and makes a great bed. A bit stingy with my food portions, though. I also think she's losing her mind a bit because sometimes she'll stick white things in her ears and talk to people who aren't even in the room?? Yikes.
What would you do with your first paycheck?
Depends... how much am I getting paid? I think I'd probably buy more treats so hooman can't dictate how much I get to eat. With the leftovers, I'd bribe someone to adopt my brother, Ollie, so I can have hooman all to myself.
