At Persona, we love our pets. We think they're smart, funny, and cute, and we're always looking for opportunities to show them off. For National Pet Day, we thought we'd take a break from our monthly Q&As with various Personerds and instead introduce you to some of the pets behind Persona — err... Pawsona.
Today, meet JJ, an Appaloosa horse who loves laying in the sun, running with his friends, showing off his jumps, and sniffing the barn dog. Learn more about what his ideal day looks like, what he'd do if he were to work at Persona, and more below:
Tell us a little about yourself.
I'm an Appaloosa originally from Nevada, but I've been in California for almost a year now. I did my first horse show last year, and everyone was impressed with how brave I was!
What is your favorite snack?
I LOVE carrots, but during the winter I get candy canes, and that's absolutely the best!
What is your ideal day?
My ideal day would be a warm day when my barn is hosting a summer camp. I would get fed snacks by at least 5-10 children, I would get to go play in a field with my best friends (Monte, Dusty, and Hudson), and I would have a very short lesson where I get to canter really fast (but not for very long).
If you were to work at Persona, what would you do?
I would definitely like to be an office coordinator! I love announcing what's happening, and I like to be the first person to greet new people. Also, I hear that they're allowed to choose the snacks, and I would make sure no one ever has to eat celery. Or anything with cheese flavoring.
How would you describe your owner?
Amanda, Persona's customer experience lead, is very nice and doesn't make me work that hard (I hear her trainer yelling about it all the time). She loves taking me on long walks to find the best grass, and you can always find a snack in her pockets. She's always asking me to slow down and make good choices, but she's the one always wanting to go toward scary things! She makes me walk past a very suspicious tree EVERY day.
What would you do with your first paycheck?
I'm paying someone to come out and remove the door on my stall. I really think I should be allowed to roam around without restrictions; I'm eight years old now!
